Hi, I am VOIGHT DEVAREE

People are often asking why I make HUMMER pictures. The answer is simple: I can not resist the strange charisma of this truck. I found, talking to many friends, there is a strange relationship between HUMMER and human beings. Except of technical minded men, who really do understand and value the technique hidden under the bonnet and the sofistication of technical solutions of the axles, torque transfer and other features, there exists an attraction for both men and women given by unique shape and spirit of HUMMER.

In spite the truck has been developed originally for specific needs of the army - or perhaps due to that - its shape is so unusual and different compared to any other truck and has undoubtedly certain strong charisma - that is the driving force tempting me all the time to create new Hummer pictures. I must confide here that I am talking about humvee and H1 Hummer (H2 and successors are undoubtedly very capable off roaders but personally I feel the charisma I am talking about has vanished - my personal point of view).

Most of my life was filled in travelling on business, mostly in Africa, discovering the beauties of marvellous landscapes and misery and richness of human race. My ultimate love belongs to East Africa, when I spend with my family more then six years and will always remain in my heart. Now we are residing in Prague - one of the most beautifull cities, Jasna I/11 st., (phone 00420 602382811). My camera is all the time ready to retain frail moments of the life. The photography is one of the most fascinating contrivance and the world of lights, shades and colors is mysterious illusion. The limiting factor in making creations of color pictures used to be the difficulties jointed to chemical developing process that was very time demanding and often depending on certain luck. The new horizons were opened by introducing of computer graphics - some of my friends, rigorous photographers, swear on traditional way not using computers at all as the only "true" way of photography. My philosophy is different - the aim of the photograph is to achieve the desired atmosphere disregarding the way.

After making some of my first Hummer pictures, I started to be asked to make copies for friends, friends boys and girls and then came an idea to make some posters to share my feeling of Hummer charisma to others. We have established small company Desmo and sell our posters via KAGI internet store to Hummer fans (details on order page).

At this place I want to thank especially my wife - without her patient assistance and tolerance I would never be able to put this project into life.
